Summary

Socrates stated in his Apology 38A that "An unexamined life is not worth living." This aptly applies to an organization’s culture, as well. If not critically examined, reviewed and maintained, the culture of your organization has no direction and certainly will not become a culture of safety. On the other hand, by implementing tools and safety processes and consciously choosing the means of developing and maintaining the organization's culture, the outcome will be as intended: a culture of safety.
